Community

The students and staff of St Luke's School are well supported by both our Parish Priest, Fr Joseph Amal and the parent community.

There are many opportunities to become involved in the life of our school.

Our school recognises the important role that parents play in the education of their children.  At St Luke's our aim is to create inclusive Family-School partnerships and welcome opportunities to further develop the relationships between our school and the parent community. Research shows that when parents and schools work together,  students outcomes increase.

Family-School Partnership Opportunities:

  • Parents and Friends Committee - ongoing
  • School Advisory Board
  • Banking Mums - weekly
  • Classroom helpers - daily
  • Fun Food days
  • Second Hand uniform shop
  • Parish
  • SAKG Progam - Weekly
  • Excursions/Incursions
  • Volunteers Program

Local Community Partnerships

At St Luke's we are committed to working with and supporting the wider community.   Our Library learning Hub is open to various community groups including local child care and kindergartens.   We are looking to develop these opportunities further.

Currently our senior  students visit Mariemont Kinder and Goodstart Wantirna to engage in learning together, through 'Reading to the Kinders' Program.
